I’m Sion and my property journey began in 2012 when I purchased and renovated my first property for long-term rental. Over the years, I expanded my portfolio to include several long-term rental properties and this led to the acquisition of our highly sought-after self-catering holiday apartment in Lanzarote in 2018.
Before venturing into the world of hospitality, I understood the challenges faced by corporate travellers, working as an Electronic Design Engineer myself and having to travel all over the world frequently, staying in cramped hotel rooms after a long day at work. The desire for a comfortable, home-like environment where you can relax, cook your own meals in a fully equipped kitchen and have your own space led to me leaving my engineering job and the birth of SPO Properties in 2020.
As of 2023, my partner Abigail is now a part of the team and we are committed to providing luxury stays to contractors, business travellers and construction workers, offering better rates than hotels and providing you with more space and value for money.

Our luxurious 1st floor, sun-facing poolside apartment is situated on the Sands Beach Resort in Costa Tequise, Lanzarote and is the perfect self-catering option for tourists, holidaymakers, families and athletes alike. The apartment is situated about 20 minutes away from the airport in Arrecife, is located only a 5-minute walk away from the beach front and promenade and roughly a 10-minute walk to a diverse range of bars, shops and restaurants.
Sands Beach Resort is an ideal place for either relaxing by the poolside or on its private beach with secluded lagoon, pacing yourself along its 25-metre swimming pool or hiring a bike to explore the island. Booking with us at SPO Properties is easy. You can either book directly with us through our website, through the chat feature on our website or you can call or email us using the contact details listed at the bottom of this page.
Unless otherwise agreed by us in writing, to secure your booking we require payment in full prior to check-in. All prices advised to you are inclusive of booking fees and charges unless stated otherwise. Unless otherwise agreed by us in writing, should payment of the full amount not reach us before your arrival date we reserve the right to cancel any bookings made and any deposit paid will be forfeited.
If you wish to cancel the whole or any part of your booking and you notify us in writing (see our contact details below) at least 14 days in advance of your date of arrival, no cancellation fee will be charged and your payment will be refunded in full (unless stated differently at the time of booking). It is your responsibility to ensure that we receive your notice of cancellation in time. If cancelled within 14 days of your arrival date, or in the case of a no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged.
Unfortunately, we do not allow pets in our accommodations.
All of our accommodations are equipped with complimentary superfast WiFi.
Checking in/out with us is super simple. Our check-in time for all of our accommodations if you book directly with us (via our website, chat feature on our website, phone or email) is from 3pm onwards. (Please note that if you book with us via a third party such as Airbnb or Booking.com, check-in time is from 4pm onwards). We will email you detailed check-in instructions prior to this which will provide you with the code to the lockbox containing the keys which will grant you access to the property. Check-out is also simple. Our check-out time for all of our accommodations is 10am. We just politely ask you to leave the accommodation in good condition, lock the property and put the keys back into the lockbox, ensuring the combination code is scrambled.
For all bookings we charge a £300 refundable security deposit. This is to cover any potential damages to the property. This may be in the form of a payment or an authorisation to deduct payment from your debit or credit card used to make the booking. If payment of the security deposit is made, it will be refunded within 24 hours of check-out and can take up to 7 days to reach your bank account, depending on your banking provider. If pre-authorisation of your security deposit is held on your credit or debit card, we will cancel the pre-authorisation within 24 hours of check-out. The return of your security deposit is dependent on the accommodation being left in good condition and no damages made during your stay. Please see our booking terms & conditions for full details.
